Design
In the past, Palm Beach drivers would have found the Land Cruiser to be a three-seat model. Now, Boynton Beach shoppers will find the new model only offers two and seating for five. The downsizing means the Land Cruiser now competes with other mid-size models. But with its changes, it's now much of a competition.
The base 1958 trim does without many of the model's luxuries. However, it still offers niceties such as heated seats, a heated steering wheel, and a six-speaker stereo. For more advanced features, you'll find them in higher trims. Here, you'll find a more deluxe cabin with features like ventilated seats, 10-speaker stereos, and leather upholstery.
Performance
With a modern update, the new Land Cruiser now utilizes hybrid power. Now, the Land Cruiser comes equipped with a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder hybrid powertrain. There are two electric motors to assist the engine. Couple that with an eight-speed automatic transmission, and the Land Cruiser can produce 326 horsepower and offer four-wheel drive.
