The Toyota Land Cruiser Makes a Return for 2024
After a three-year disappearance, the Toyota Land Cruiser is finally making a return. Lake Worth and Greenacres drivers will find the model has been completely redesigned. With a boxier look, a stronger powertrain, and solid off-road capabilities, the Land Cruiser is a weekend toy and weekday commuter. For more information on the Land Cruiser, continue reading as we break down this redesigned vehicle.
What's New for 2024
The return of the Land Cruiser means the model has been entirely updated. It now rides on a modernized platform, which gives it a smaller shape and a hybrid powertrain. Though it is smaller, the Land Cruiser is now better equipped to compete with other off-road models on the road.

Design
In the past, Palm Beach drivers would have found the Land Cruiser to be a three-seat model. Now, Boynton Beach shoppers will find the new model only offers two and seating for five. The downsizing means the Land Cruiser now competes with other mid-size models. But with its changes, it's now much of a competition.
The base 1958 trim does without many of the model's luxuries. However, it still offers niceties such as heated seats, a heated steering wheel, and a six-speaker stereo. For more advanced features, you'll find them in higher trims. Here, you'll find a more deluxe cabin with features like ventilated seats, 10-speaker stereos, and leather upholstery.
Performance
With a modern update, the new Land Cruiser now utilizes hybrid power. Now, the Land Cruiser comes equipped with a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder hybrid powertrain. There are two electric motors to assist the engine. Couple that with an eight-speed automatic transmission, and the Land Cruiser can produce 326 horsepower and offer four-wheel drive.

Off-Road Capabilities
Even before the update, the Royal Palm Beach customer could enjoy solid off-road capabilities from the Land Cruiser. But now they are even better. Along with four-wheel drive, the Land Cruiser also comes with a locking center differential and low-range gearing. There's also a crawl control system and hill descent control. No matter what terrain you may find yourself in, this SUV will get you through it with no problem.
Technology
Equipped in every new model is an infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. In models like the 1958 trim, an eight-inch display comes standard, but in higher trims, use a larger 12.3-inch monitor. USB-C charging ports and a wireless smartphone charging pad are standard. But for onboard Wi-Fi or the available 14-speaker JBL stereo system, you'll have to pay extra.
Safety Features
Along with a generous tech, Toyota has also equipped the Land Cruiser with a generous list of standard driver-assistance features. These features are called Toyota Safety Sense 3.0. and Wellington customers will find advanced driver-aids like lane-departure warning, automatic high-beam headlamps, and adaptive cruise control in this bundle.

Trims
The 2024 Land Cruiser returns with three available trim options. There's a base model called 1958, a mid-tier trim called the Land Cruiser, and a top-of-the-line First Edition. Each trim gets a unique look with different headlight designs. There are also different wheel and tire options and off-road accessories like a front skid plate.
1985: The base trim comes with round LED headlights and LED fog lamps and rides on 18-inch wheels with all-season tires.
Land Cruiser: The Land Cruiser sports a different face than the 1958 model. There are rectangular LED headlights and rigid LED fog lamps that can switch between white and amber light. The model also uses 18-inch all-season tires but 20-inch wheels are also available.
First Edition: The First Edition reverts to the round headlights and adds a roof rack, rock rails, and front skid plate. There are also mud flaps behind the wheels, a rear door guard, and a tailgate light.
