Several new Toyota models recently debuted in West Palm Beach with the new Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+ suite. The TSS 2.5+ suite upgrades the previous features of the TSS 2.0. The previous app suite introduced several helpful safety features, while TSS 2.5+ tweaks some existing apps. The pre-collision feature underwent some enhancements as well as the semi-automatic cruise control. The TSS 2.5+ suite made its debut on the 2021 Toyota Camry and Camry Hybrid. Helping Keep you Alert and Protected
The new TSS 2.5+ makes some alterations to the past TSS 2.0 features to provide better protection and visibility. The Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection (PCS w/ PD) was one app that received fine-tuning. This app can now detect dangers at night and in the day and make a left-hand turn. The PCS w/ PD also features Cyclist Detection (CD) and can pick up any upcoming collision hazard.
The Full-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) also received some updates for TSS 2.5+. This semi-automatic cruise control can get activated at 30 mph and above. The DRCC also now proves helpful when changing lanes. When passing a slower vehicle, the DRCC engages the gas enough to boost you past them on the highway. The DRCC can bring the car to a complete stop if needed, resuming even at one mph.
