Interbrand, a company created to manage and rank global brands to benefit consumers, has released its 2011 ‘Best Global Brand’ report. In addition to retaining its status as the #1 automotive brand, Toyota has also been named the World’s best green brand. Interbrand’s ‘Best Green Brand’ study is based on a number of factors all of which worked to Toyota’s benefit. Among the many reasons that can be attributed to Toyota’s eco-friendly status, three in particular made the automaker’s green efforts stand out from any other brand in the world.
Hybrid Technology
With the introduction of the Prius at your Lake Worth used car dealer over a decade ago, Toyota has become a leader in hybrid technology. Toyota was one of the first automakers to combine the power of a gasoline motor with that of an electric motor to reduce emissions, save fuel usage and retain power. Introducing alternative fuels, advancing battery power and even fuel-cell vehicles, Toyota is without a doubt on the cutting edge of sustainable mobility. Toyota’s advanced technologies have lead to more gas frugal vehicles capable of delivering uncompromised performance, which is one of the reasons Toyota has been named the World’s best green brand.
Internal Green Initiatives
Beyond delivering eco-friendly vehicles to your Boynton Beach car dealer, Toyota has made an effort to encourage green practices internally as well. The environmental activities in the production of vehicles and the sustainable plant practices that Toyota encourages are also among the reasons Interbrand recognizes Toyota at the best green brand in the World. From using renewable energy to the introduction low-carbon production technologies, Toyota’s green initiatives go well beyond your car dealership.
Eco-Friendly Influence
Interbrand also considered a brand’s public perception in terms of eco-friendliness in their ‘Best Green Brand’ study. Based on interviews with over 10,000 consumers in 10 of the World’s largest markets, Toyota was perceived as one of the most eco-friendly brands around. Since 1997, Toyota used car dealers have sold over three million hybrids which has contributed to the automaker’s green presence and has also influenced the sustainable efforts in other brands. Toyota’s eco-friendly presence and positive influence over other brands is yet another reason Interbrand the automaker is the best global green brand.
